Breathing the polluted air

From dawn to dusk, we are breathing the polluted air present in the environment. Carbon monoxide harmful gas affecting the human body. Cars and trucks are the sources of nearly two-thirds of this pollutant. The next thing that we use commonly “Plastic”. Plastics are present in the environment for a long time. Affecting the wildlife and spreading toxins. Plastic also contributes to global warming.

Matchbox creating awareness among children

Matchbox is releasing a line of electric vehicle toy cars. They are making sustainable cars. The first edition would be a mini version of the Tesla Roadster, followed by other brands and scaled-down charging stations. The toymaker trying to increase children’s awareness in regards to the motor that are affecting the environment. Other Matchbox vehicles on the market will be focused on electric and hybrid vehicles manufactured by Nissan, Toyota, and BMW.

Matchbox moving towards zero plastic

The Tesla Roadster will be the first die-cast model made entirely of recycled materials. The toy car is made of recycled zinc and rubber, with just 1% non-recycled stainless steel. The packaging will be done with paper and wood fibre.

A step towards an eco-friendly environment by toymakers

Mattel, which owns the Hot Wheels brand, intends to use 100 percent recycled, recyclable, or bio-based plastic materials in the production of all of its products and packaging by 2030. Lego will now spend up to $400 million (£310 million) over the next three years to boost its environmental activities. Waitrose also announced that it would no longer market children’s magazines containing recycled disposable toys to reduce waste.
