The scholarship will aid students of arts

The top graduating students of Charles County Public High School are getting 1000 dollars scholarship from the Charles County Arts Alliance. The aid will assist students in their persuasion of visual, performing and literary arts degree programs.

The students who got the scholarship have to get aggregate of 3 weighted grades and have to bring two recommendation letters and an official transcript from school along with a resume and a detailed article on why they want to study arts.

The selected students showed extraordinary artistic skills while performing visual arts and they were also prolific in academics as most of them averaged around 4 WGPA. One such student was Victoria Michael, who has several scholarly awards from Lackey High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society; she effortlessly plays four musical instruments which earned her serval accolades.

The students were excellent in their respective fields

Another student Griffin Moyer also a high achiever and a member of the National Honor Society and had received a mind in Motion award. He plays six instruments with the tuba. Participated in different musical events and is quite active in I community as a member and president of the Best Buddies Organization. He went to Slippery Rock University to study music therapy and education.

Joshua Hackley had been strongly involved in theater and choir in La Plata High School. He has been taken part in a lot of theatrical dramas and choirs as well and recognition for his work. He was excellent in academics which won him the honor to be a member of the National Honor Society. He voluntarily participated in choir for the community and served in the fire department of Bel Alton. He will study concentration in music education at Coastal Carolina University in Conway.

The student of North Point High School, Christina Alvarez also got the scholarship due to her excellence in graphic designing. She had served as a little league soccer coach and done social work in local humane society and Waldorf Jaycees.
